Are you ready to learn all about the American flag?!!! Please be sure to use the sources listed below to find out all the information you need to complete this webquest. Please answer all questions on the handout given to you. Then you will use the information that you gather to create the American flag!

1. First you will find out how many stars are in the American flag.
2. Next, find out why the certain amount of stars exist.
3. Now, find out the colors that are used in the star section of the flag.
4. As you may now know, the American flag also has stripes on it. Find out how many stripes are on the flag. Are there different colored stripes? If so how many of each and which colors correspond.
5. What is the reason behind the amount of each colored stripe.
6. Now find out what the colors used on the flag represent.
7. Lastly, open up Microsoft Word on your computer. Draw your rectangle. Now design the stars in the exact way that they are in the American flag, including shape, color and number. Now do the same for the stripes.
8. When you are finished we will all join back with the class and make sure that everyone found the correct information!!!
